New Venetian Gold is a lighter granite color featured in our Capitol Collection. Its neutral pallet is accented with black/grey veining and random garnet flecks. The neutral color is easy to work with whether you are refreshing your current kitchen or undergoing a total renovation. A quick search on Houzz turned up several beautiful kitchens and bathrooms featuring New Venetian Gold granite. Here’s a kitchen with New Venetian Gold countertops and light-colored cabinets:
And, now a few with dark-colored cabinets. I really love the drama of the rich cherry cabinets with the warmth of the New Venetian Gold granite. The darker wood really brings out the flecks of garnet that accent the granite.
The most striking kitchen design I’ve seen with New Venetian Gold is the combination of dark lower cabinets and light upper cabinets. Another variation on this look is combining light upper and lower cabinets with a dark-colored kitchen island, like this kitchen:
A trend I noticed while researching New Venetian Gold countertops was oil-rubbed bronze faucets and fixtures. The rich color of the bronze really pairs well with the warmth of the granite. Here’s an idea of what it looks like:
