Solid Surface

Solid surfaces are approved for a wide range of horizontal and vertical applications including: kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, sinks, table tops, furniture, lighting fixtures, bar tops, reception desks, and signage. Most solid surfaces, like those from Dupont™ come with a 10 year limited product warranty and are available in ½ thick 30” x 145” sheets, as well as ¼” thick for vertical applications, and ¾” for heavy-duty applications. There are a variety of styles, brands and colors. Captiol Granite carries a wide rang of Solid Surface Brands such as: Avonite, Corian, Formica, LG HI-MACS, Staron, and Wilsonart Solid Surfaces.

One of the benefits of solid surfaces is that they are consider long lasting and can stand up to heavy use. For this reason, Solid surfaces have become popular in retail, food service, healthcare, education, lodging, and public and corporate spaces. Because the material is non-porous, it does not support the growth of bacteria, mold or mildew, and is easy to clean, especially considering there are no seams to trap the dirt. Solid surfaces are also certified (NSF/ANSI 51) for contact with all food types.
