Q: What are the benefits of Cambria®?
A: Cambria is natural quartz that is identified by its superior strength and beauty. Because it is mined from the earth the look and feel of granite is achieved, but Cambria is non-porous which reduces potential bacteria growth from absorbing into the surface and makes maintenance simple. Cambria is extremely resistant to staining and needn’t be sealed, polished, or reconditioned, simply wash it with warm water.
Q: What is Silestone®?
A: Silestone by Cosentino® is natural quartz. It is hard, dense and non-porous. As a revolutionary stone it delivers it all: versatility, reliability and consistency. The combination of beauty and durability makes Silestone a versatile surface ideal for countertops, vanity tops, flooring, walls, shower enclosures, backsplashes, bathtub surrounds and more. Silestone is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and scorch-resistant, perfect for high-traffic areas in the home.
Q: Is Viatera® man-made?
A: Yes, although Viatera is composed of 93% natural quartz it is a man-made stone blended with polymer resins and colorfast pigments by LG Hausys Surfaces.
Q: Is Zodiaq® made using quartz?
A: DuPont™ Zodiaq is made with pure quartz crystals, giving it exceptional toughness and hardness. Zodiaq quartz countertops are incredibly durable and resistant to heat and scratches.
Q: What do I need to know about CeasarStone®?
A: The manufacturing process blends raw materials at a ratio of up to 93% natural quartz aggregates with pigments and polymer resins. CaesarStone is non-porous, scratch resistant, and highly resistant to stains. CaesarStone is globally recognized for its simplified fabrication and installation processes that enable cost-effective solutions because it can be installed in thinner forms to save weight, or in larger sections to reduce the amount of joints on a surface.
Q: Is Han Stone™ also a mix of quartz and synthetic materials?
A: Yes, Han Stone is more than 90 percent mined quartz crystals combined with polyester resins and pigment to create the natural beauty of quartz. Han Stone looks like natural stone, offers up to six times the strength and durability of granite without the high-maintenance.
Q: What is Eco™ stone?
A: Eco stone is 75% recycled content from post-industrial and post-consumer materials (porcelin, glass, mirror, ultrified ashes) made by Cosentino®. This hard and durable surface is made using an environmentally friendly resin and is scratch, stain, and scorch resistant. Eco is a non-porous material that does not require a sealer and comes in 3/4″ thickness.
